Highlights and lowlights can also be applied to cover some of those stubborn grey hairs, giving your hair dimension.
Balayage
It’s no secret that Balayage hair colours have been a game changer and they remain amongst the most asked for hair colouring techniques in our Peterborough hair salon.
Whether you want to stand out from the crowd with a daring fashion coloured balayage, or fancy a classic rich, chocolatey brunette balayage with some face-framing highlights – the hair colour specialists in Peterborough at Melanie Richard’s Hair & Beauty Salon have you covered!
Transitional Grey Hair Colouring
Wave goodbye to the dreaded box-dye! Covering grey hairs or root regrowth can easily be achieved by one of our professionals, and will leave you feeling revitalised. Top tip? Avoid dying your hair darker than your natural hair colour to avoid re-growth issues.
If your home hair colour has gone wrong, you’ll be pleased to learn that Melanie Richard’s Hair & Beauty Salon offers a wide range of hair colour correction services. Common hair colour issues include hair that has turned brassy or yellow from an incorrect bleach application, unwanted warm tones in the hair, and hair colour that has turned out too dark.
Skin Testing Policy
As Aveda hair colour has no harsh chemical additives, it is less likely that an allergic reaction or scalp irritation will occur. However, we are a colour responsible salon. A skin sensitivity test must be carried out at least 48 hours before any colour that will touch the scalp to protect you from a reaction to the colour. It can not be done more than 5 days before your hair colour appointment.
The skin test will also need to be carried out again: Every 6 months, if it is more than 6 months since your last colour if you have had a tattoo, henna tattoo or permanent make-up since your last colour.
We will send an email reminder if it is more than 6 months since your last test with us a week before your appointment, please DO NOT ignore this very important reminder.
