Skin Testing
Please note: we are a colour responsible salon. A skin sensitivity test must be carried out at least 48 hours before any colour that will touch the scalp to protect you from a reaction to the colour. It can not be done more than 5 days before your hair colour appointment.
The skin test will also need to be carried out again: Every 6 months, if it is more than 6 months since your last colour if you have had a tattoo, henna tattoo or permanent make-up since your last colour. Alternatively, you can purchase a Patch Test Kit. These cost £5. Full details here.
We will send an email reminder if it is more than 6 months since your last test with us a week before your appointment, please DO NOT ignore this very important reminder.
Colour Glossing & Toners
When hair is pre-lightened or highlighted a toner may be needed to create your final colour to neutralise any unwanted tones created during the lifting process.
A toner helps us to achieve your final colour result which may be anything from cool ash blonde to a vibrant red or rich, copper orange.
Platinum Blonde & Ice White Hair Colour
Platinum blonde, silver grey and ice white hair colours are on-trend hair colours that will ensure you turn heads for the right reason!

Root Melts & Root Stretching
Colour melting, colour blends and root melts are popular hair colouring techniques in our Peterborough salon, and allow us to blend your root colour with strategically placed highlights to achieve a natural looking blended hair colour.
The highlights are blended or ‘melted’ away from the root with a shade almost identical to your natural colour so there are no harsh lines between the different shades.
This technique works on all hair shades including blonde, brunette, and red hair colours. A colour melt or root stretch can also blend the root colour with balayage tones, lowlights or highlights.
