We’re incredibly proud to celebrate a huge achievement for salon owner Melanie Richards, who has been named HJ Hair Extensionist of the Year.
The prestigious competition, hosted by Hairdressers Journal as part of Salon International, brings together talented extensionists from across the industry. For Melanie, it was an opportunity to showcase not only her technical skills, but also her creativity and passion for what hair extensions can do for a client.
For the competition, Melanie decided to take a different direction from a traditional extension look, creating something more textured, whimsical and creative.
Her finished look showcased the versatility of hair extensions and the way they can be used to create more than simply added length. Through her choice of hair, placement, texture and styling, Melanie created a distinctive competition look that reflected her own creative approach to extensions.
It was a fantastic opportunity to push the boundaries of what she could create and demonstrate the technical skill and attention to detail that goes into working with extensions at this level.
