Celebrating Nicole’s HJ Extensionist of The Year Final
We’re incredibly excited and proud to be celebrating Designer Nicole, who was named a finalist in the HJ Extensionist of the Year competition.
With thousands of entries from talented extensionists across the UK, becoming a finalist is a fantastic achievement in itself. Nicole did incredibly well to stand out among such a high calibre of talent and was deservedly recognised for her skill, creativity and expertise.
The prestigious final took place at Salon International in London, bringing together some of the industry’s leading extensionists. Nicole absolutely smashed it, and we couldn’t be prouder.
For her competition look, Nicole went for a relaxed “cool girl” aesthetic, using keratin bonds to add both length and thickness while creating a completely new colour using the extensions themselves. Rather than colouring the client’s natural hair, Nicole carefully selected different extension shades to build depth, dimension and the finished colour, showcasing her creativity and technical skill with extensions. The result was a stunning, effortless looking transformation that received lots of compliments and congratulations on the day, and it was brilliant to see Nicole’s work recognised on such a prestigious stage.
The competition gave fully certified Great Lengths specialist Nicole the opportunity to put her extension skills to the test alongside some of the industry's talented extensionists, and we loved seeing her rise to the challenge.
From Salon Floor to Competition Arena
Competitions like this are a great way for stylists to push their creativity, try something different and showcase the skills they use every day in the salon.
